    VIEW POINT

Sustainable development goal is a self-motivated practice tackling various needs at different phases of time. These can be dealt with continuous interventions based on designed agendas that incorporate the requirements projected by the stake holders/communities and with the help of the communities by stage-managing for public-private partnership.

PHFI operational guidelines are from the 17 SustainableDevelopment Goals (SDGs) which are a set of global objectives which were adopted by the United Nations and various heads of states in September 2015 from New York to address pressing environmental, social, and economic challenges. These goals, set for the year 2030, aim to create a more equitable and sustainable world.

Our initiatives are designed to be adaptable, ensuring they remain relevant to the evolving needs of the populations we serve. We are committed to building partnerships that will sustain these efforts long into the future.

    EXPECTED IMPACTS

Expected impacts to the beneficiaries and wider community will be reduction of school dropout by 80% in 2030 and job accessibility by 95% which will lead to poverty reduction,
    economic growth, and social progress.

    1. CLIMATE SMART AGRICULTURE (CSA)

Climate Smart Agriculture (Empowering community for a sustainable future)

In line with Sustainable Development Goals 2 and 13, directly address climate smart agriculture. SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) emphasizes achieving food security, improving nutrition and promoting sustainable agriculture, as it aims to increase agricultural productivity while minimizing environmental impact and adapting to climate change.

As PHFI, we looked at Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1 (No Poverty), and SDG 6 (Clean Water and sanitation) and SDG 15 (Life on Land) like for instance, climate smart agriculture will improve the resilience of small holder farmers, enhance water management in Agricultural areas, and promote biodiversity in agricultural landscape. This is the main technical reasons as to why we as PHFI International has merged the Activities of CSA and WASH to combat the challenge.
